Abstract

Inner and outer come together as meditative dance in most of the abstract paintings. Predominantly acrylic and/or mixed media, most of these paintings demand scale, usually 5' or 6', on paper or canvas, and are often done on a ground of black. Here, many of the same gestures and rhythms found in observable nature or representation show themselves honed to abstract essences.
